Cleary Graduates 2022

Yanibel Rodriguez

  Yanibel Rodriguez will be graduating from the Cleary @ East Islip High School Program with a Regents Diploma. She has been a role model student; encouraging her fellow peers to study  hard and always try their  best. 
Yanibel was a member of the Cleary After School Communication Club for three years. During her high school career she was involved in the following volunteer internships: stock clerk at  Big Lots, Five Below, Stop and Shop and a teacher aide at the YMCA . Her favorite internship position was a stock clerk at Big Lots. Her fondest memory was  being able to independently communicate with customers and staff without the assistance from her job coach.
Yanibel’s post graduation plans  are to obtain her driver’s license and to secure a retail position. Yanibel would also like to enroll in an adult education baking class  for her own enjoyment. Yanibel’s positive attitude and her willingness to encourage others will be greatly missed by her teachers and peers!

Emre Destek

     Emre Destek will complete his Skills and Achievement Credential Certificate this June. Emre strived to work to his fullest potential in every class he was enrolled in. He is a very respectful young man who has a wonderful sense of humor. Staff and students were all impressed with Emre’s ability to act in all of Cleary’s Showcases; he may have a  future career in the deaf theater productions!
During his time in the high school  program, he was involved in the following internships:  library assistant in the elementary school library, stock clerk at Walgreens and Five Below and a teacher Aide for one of Cleary’s preschool classes. His internship in the preschool class was his favorite. He enjoyed signing stories and creating arts and crafts activities for the students.
Emre’s post graduation plans are to enroll in independent living skills classes  through adult education programs. Emre’s ultimate goal is to move to Turkey and obtain a position as a stock clerk in a local retail store. 

Estefany Flores

    Estefany Flores will graduate the Cleary @East lslip High School Program with a Regents Diploma. Estefany is a sweet young lady who works to her potential. Estefany participated in the Cleary After School  Communication Club for four years. animal care worker at South Hampton Animal Shelter, stock clerk at Walgreens and Big Lots  and a teacher aide at the YMCA. Her favorite internship was at Big Lots. She enjoyed helping her peers learn the skills involved in rotating stock items.
Estefany is proud of all her hard work and looks forward to taking the summer off to relax. Estefany’s post graduation plans are to explore the possibility of working part time or attending adult education classes.

Santiago Pachecho

      Santiago Pacheco will complete his Skills and Achievement Credential Certificate this June. Santiago is an independent young man who advocates for himself and his peers. Santiago was a member of the Cleary After School Communication Club for four years.  This year , Santiago was an ensemble member of the cast of  East Islip High School Production of “The Sound of Music”. This was his first performance in a high school show and he was fantastic!
During his time in the high school program he was involved in the following internships: library assistant in the Cleary Library ,stock clerk at Walgreens , Big Lots and Shop Rite, he also volunteered at the South Hampton Animal Shelter as an animal care assistant.
Santiago’s favorite internship was at Five Below. He enjoyed working with the manager and staff. Santiago was assigned to the backroom to inventory  stock. 
Santiago ‘s post high school plans are to obtain a certificate in Facilities Maintenance from Job Corp. He has been assigned a Job Corp Counselor and is waiting  to be placed into the next class for training! He is excited to hopefully become a maintenance worker in a school or office setting.

Dom Nickson

     Dom Nickson will be graduating with a Regents Diploma. Dom has been a member of many clubs and activities during high school career. He has been a member of both the Cleary and East Islip Track and Field Teams, a member of the Cleary After School Communication Club and an actor in the Spring and Fall East Islip Drama  Productions. Dom is also a gifted artist, whose artwork was chosen to be exhibited at the Suffolk County Art Leaders Association’s All County and Senior Scholarship Art Showcase. His art piece won first prize in  the multimedia art category for sculpture, earlier this school year.
Dom has become a role model for all the Cleary students. Dom’s self advocacy skills and determination has enabled him to achieve many of his goals. These goals included, becoming an American Citizen ,having a famous deaf actor as a mentor and being accepted to NTID for the Media and Technical Design Program. Dom is looking forward to college life.
